He is Professor of Medicine, National University of Singapore; Senior Consultant, National University Hospital, Singapore; and Director, Centre for Innovation in Healthcare, National University Health System. He was the Founding Chairman of the Asian EUS Group, and the Asian Barrett’s Consortium. He co-invented the ground-breaking technology of the Master and Slave Transluminal Endoscopic Robot (MASTER). He received the 2012 Singapore President’s Technology Award. He was conferred the JGHF Emerging Leadership lecturer in APDW 2010.
