Professor Leon Adams is head of the Liver Research Group within the Medical School of the University of Western Australia and the Department of Hepatology at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. His research focuses on translational, clinical and epidemiological aspects of NAFLD and non-invasive assessment of liver fibrosis in which he has published over 180 articles.  He is currently Associate Editor for Hepatology and has served on the editorial boards of Journal of Hepatology, Hepatology Communications and Liver International and on numerous faculties of the Gastroenterology Society of Australia, the American Gastroenterology Association and American Association for the Study of Liver Disease.
