Professor Chiu is currently the clinical professor at National Taiwan University College of Medicine. He has led the Taiwan Colorectal Cancer (CRC) Screening Program and the Joint Program of Colonoscopy Quality Assurance Program since 2015 and has been devoted to the educational and research activities in the field of colonoscopy practice and CRC screening in Taiwan and overseas as well. He currently serves as the secretary-general of the Gastroenterological Society of Taiwan, the Asian co-chair of the World Endoscopy Organization CRC Screening Committee.
