Yeong Yeh LEE, MD, Ph.D., FACP, FRCP, FACG, FAMM, AGAF, FASc is Professor of Medicine and Consultant of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Internal Medicine at Universiti Sains Malaysia. He is the senior editor of a number of journals including the Journal of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, and the Malaysian Journal of Medical Sciences. He has published almost 300 papers in high-impact journals including Gastroenterology and Gut, and several book chapters and textbooks. JCI Malaysia awarded him the Outstanding Young Malaysian Award in 2015 and the Top Research Scientist of Malaysia by the Academy of Sciences Malaysia in 2018. He is the current President of the Malaysian Society of Gastroenterology & Hepatology (MSGH), Past Scientific Chair of Asia Pacific Digestive Week (APDW) 2021, council member of the Asian Pacific Association of Gastroenterology (APAGE), council member of the College of Physician, Academy of Medicine Malaysia (AMM) and a committee member of numerous international societies. Recently he was elected as a fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (FASc) and listed in Stanford’s Top 2% in the World in their respective field (citation impact in a single year).
