Associate Professor Pradermchai Kongkam, M.D. has earned his medical degree, board of internal medicine and gastroenterology from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. He furthered his education in Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) as a clinical fellowship in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatograohy (ERCP) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) (2006-2008). He is an experienced endoscopist with special interest of EUS, ERCP, pancreatico-biliary disease and gastrointestinal oncology. He has travelled to many places particularly in South East Asian (SEA) community to share and distribute knowledge of clinical endoscopy. Several Thai and international endosonographers from various countries were trained by him. He is one of editorial board members in a few medical journals and has several publications. His present interesting researches include using EUS for staging of colon cancer beyond rectum and EUS guided real time histology for diagnosing solid pancreatic masses.
