Fion Siu-Yin CHAN, MBBS, MRCS, FRCS(Ed), FCSHK, FHKAM (Surgery), FACS
Dr CHAN graduated from Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine, and the American College of Surgeons. She is currently Consultant of the Department of Surgery, Queen Mary Hospital and Honorary Clinical Associate Professor of The University of Hong Kong. She received GB Ong Travelling Grant in 2009 and has visited internationally renowned centers to acquire techniques in endoscopic surgery, minimally invasive surgery as well as metabolic and bariatric surgery.
Dr CHAN is currently a member of IFSO and APMBSS. She is treasurer of the Hong Kong Society of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeons, council member of the Hong Kong Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and Hong Kong Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition. She was vice-chairman of the 1st Bariatric and Metabolism Professional Committee of Shenzhen Medical Association She takes a leading role in the development of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Service, prehabilitation program and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) program for patients with esophageal and gastric cancers in Queen Mary Hospital.
